We use website ranking as a measure of progress of Search Engine Optimisation. The higher up the rankings you are, the more visitors you will get. Most experts agree that the target is the front page (or top 10) of the Search Engine listings because very few of us click beyond here.

This example shows good overall progress but there are still some areas to consider improvement.
